Indie Music Store at South By Southwest

The IMS team recently worked a booth at SXSW music convention in Austin Texas. I had heard about SXSW but never imagined a music convention that would attract thousands of various artists from every walk of life to this little 5 block area in Texas. There were Artist represented there from every country around the world. The scene was the same every day, tour buses lined up outside venues and fans lined up around the building waiting to get in. Vans in every color full of artist, all with one goal in mind, getting their music heard. There were news trucks and satellite trucks from just about every state and some from as far as New York City. News Reporters were reporting live every half hour and one reporter even interviewed me. The team had the opportunity to visit with different Artist and vendors and learned how fast the Global music industry is changing. This music convention was a great place to meet National and International Artists and promote the indiemusicstore.com site. The amount of knowledge we walked away with was priceless and well worth the time. SXSW 2008 we will be there.
